Resurrection Hope

We look to You, Jesus.

You are the one who brought hope out of hopelessness.
Healing out of suffering.
Beauty out of pain.
Peace out of chaos.
Comfort out of abandonment.
Light out of darkness.
Life out of death.

We look to You, Jesus.

"He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; 'by his wounds you have been healed."'

1 Peter 2:24

Where there is hopelessness, we cling in hope to Your faithful promises.
Where there is suffering, we cry out for Your healing touch.
Where there is pain, grief and loss, Lord, show us how You are making all things beautiful.
Where there is chaos, rule as the Prince of Peace.
Everything is out of our control, but You are always in control.
Where there is loneliness, bring Your comforting presence and satisfy our souls.
Where there is darkness, Jesus shine Your light of truth and love that casts out all fear.
Where there is death - death of dreams, death of security, death of stability, death of loved ones - breathe in new life!

"According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead"

1 Peter 1:3

As we see the sprouts shoot up from the earth and bloom in vitality, let this season be a time of weeding out the bad and planting and growing the good that would produce abundant life in us, in our homes and in our communities. Let the hope of Your resurrection - the power to bring what is dead to life - wake us up to new and full life in You.

We look to You, Jesus.

Thank You for your selfless pouring out of love on the cross and the power and hope of your resurrection. Because you live, we can face today and tomorrow - whatever they may bring.
