Holiday Happenings: Goodbye 2019, Hello 2020!

New Year
"To leave the old with a burst of song;
To recall the right and forgive the wrong;
To forget the things that bind you fast
To the vain regrets of the year that’s past;
To have the strength to let go your hold
Of the not worth while of the days grown old;
To dare go forth with a purpose true,
To the unknown task of the year that’s new;
To help your brother along the road,
To do his work and lift his load;
To add your gift to the world’s good cheer,
Is to have and to give a Happy New Year."

We filled the last few days of 2019 full to the brim with family, food, and fun. There was music, games, laughter, snuggles, stories, adventures, treats, and gifts galore.  We are thankful for precious time with my dad (Grandpa) and Zac's family & relatives. We enter this new year in hope for healing and wholeness, in pursuit of peace and rest, and desiring to grow deeper in love and knowledge of God and our Savior Jesus Christ. May we all "leave the old with a burst of song" and head into this new year with joy and renewed strength "to dare to go forth with a purpose true."
Happy New Year!

One of our year end traditions is to make a slideshow of pictures from the year and watch it together on New Year's Eve. Here is the Poppen Family 2019 year in review!
